SNAP fraud bust in Los Angeles
Federal agents and Los Angeles police raided a Skid Row party supply store as part of an alleged SNAP fraud investigation that resulted in an arrest.
Investigators say the store processed more than $730,000 in SNAP purchases over one year and allege a cashier exchanged food assistance benefits for cash through a kickback scheme. The operation is part of a broader federal crackdown on public benefits fraud, with officials saying more investigations are underway.
