Gene Parks, longtime Kern River Valley leader, healthcare district treasurer, dies at 81
Gene Parks, a longtime Kern River Valley leader known as “Gentleman Gene,” died Wednesday of lung complications. He was 81.
Parks held various leadership roles in the Kern River Valley for more than four decades, including serving as treasurer of the Kern Valley Healthcare District Board of Directors, an elected position.
